Admission requirements for IIT Information Technology and Management graduate degree programs are based on a holistic approach that considers a variety of academic, extracurricular, social, and personal qualities. All students are held to a high standard of academic excellence, aptitude in mathematics and science, social service, and a desire to pursue a high quality educational experience.
We encourage you to submit your application as early as possible so our admission staff can help you through the process. All applications will be treated and evaluated equally by the Admissions Committee.
IIT requires a four-year bachelor's degree conferred with a minimum cumulative undergraduate GPA of 3.0/4.0 (or its equivalent) from an accredited institution for regular admission. Citizens and permanent residents of the United States with a cumulative undergraduate GPA of at least 2.5/4.0 may be admitted as non-degree students.
The GRE is not required for domestic students who have graduated from a domestic university with a GPA greater than 3.0.
It is helpful, but not required, that students have a technology background prior to entering the program.
Review our application checklist to learn what is required to complete your application. Make arrangements for testing (e.g., the GRE, TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE exams). If your standardized exam scores do not meet the minimums required for admission consideration, consider retaking the exam(s).
