About this Course:
The Master Certificate in Cyber Security Management is awarded to those participants who have completed three courses: Cyber Security Technologies, Network+ Certification Training and Cyber Security Management of the Information Technology Certificate Program offered through the School of Applied Technology (SAT) of Illinois Institute of Technology. Those interested in pursuing this award must complete at least these three courses. Most often these courses can be successfully completed in one year or less.
Participants who wish to pursue this Master Certificate would be best served by working with a program manager of the Information Technology program for guidance. Some courses may be taken simultaneously and some may require prerequisites. Allowing the program manager to assist in planning the sequence of courses would ensure a successful and enjoyable experience as participants reach their goals.
This program is designed for students seeking knowledge that will enhance their skills as a software developer. The three required courses must include (not necessarily in the following order):
IT-S 448 Cyber Security Technologies - a 16 week course designed to equip the participant with the essential skills, knowledge, and experience to set-up secure computer systems.
IT-O 440 Network+ Certification Training - a 16 week course preparing the participant for the Network + Certification exams. This course also serves as a prerequisite for the System and Network Security Course (IT-S 448)
IT-S 478 Cyber Security Management - a 16 week course covering an in-depth examination in management of information technology security.
An elective from the following courses must be chosen if IT-O 440 Network+ Certification Training requirement has already been satisfied:
