In addition to teaching for INTM, Dr. Gopal is a Theophil W. Mueller Endowed Chair, Fulbright Program Adviser and Associate Professor of Business Administration in the Department of Business at Elmhurst College. He worked for more than 15 years in industry in a variety of functions. His work experience includes developing marketing strategies for the world’s largest pharmaceutical companies as a strategy consultant and manager for ZS Associates. He also worked in strategic marketing, supply chain management, and procurement at Tellabs Inc. Among his current interests is Sustainability in Business. He also travels frequently to India and has led several student groups on trips to India and Turkey. During a sabbatical in 2010, Gopal was a visiting associate professor in the Department of Management Studies at IIT Madras.
In 2011-2012 Gopal was awarded a Fulbright Scholarship to teach at Galway Mayo Institute of Technology in Ireland.
Dr. Gopal has published numerous articles and case studies on global sourcing, data synchronization, and customer relationship management in the logistics industry in journals such as Supply Chain Management Review, the International Journal of Supply Chain Management, and Annual Advances in Business Cases.
