Illinois Institute of Technology offers an undergraduate minor in Food Science and Nutrition (FdSN). The program minor classes support a variety of undergraduate degrees. It is appropriate for undergraduate students who are majoring in programs such as biology, chemistry, biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, psychology, pre-health, and other programs.
Minors consist of at least five courses (minimum 15 semester hours), are optional, and are frequently cross-disciplinary. Students who wish to pursue a minor must consult with advisers in their respective major departments. Please note that not all minors are applicable to all majors.
Students in the Behavior Health and Wellness offered in Psychology must take at least one of the courses below, including 1 of the 4 nutrition specific courses (201, 300, 401, 405) AND if students make Nutrition their designated area of emphasis they must take all courses plus human physiology.
