2 Illinois Tech Information Technology and Management students make the list of “Entrepreneurs You Need to Know”

Kevin Roemer, Brandless.io and FUND Conference
Roemer, a 2015 graduate of Information Technology and Management at Illinois Tech, has embedded himself in the startup scene both from a creative and investment perspective. First, he runs a full service creative agency, Brandless.io, based in River North that offers services such as web design, brand identity, and mobile application development. In addition, he helped start FUND Conference, a thought leadership conference that pairs small startups with early stage investors. The first conference ran this fall, and hosted over 60 speakers, 100 startups, and 800 participants.

Muneeb Yawari, ULTComp and Yawari Foundation
Yawari, a current senior studying Information Technology and Management at Illinois Tech, balances a full course load, running a tech consulting company, and launching a nonprofit foundation. He started ULTComp, a boutique technology consulting firm, back in 2009 and currently offers services from computer support to web hosting, but soon will expand out to provide creative services such as design and development of brands. Yawari said the goal is to be able to provide support to small and medium sized businesses who might not have the resources to support their IT needs. After graduation, however, Yawari plans to focus on growing his nonprofit, Yawari Foundation (or Y-Foundation), which builds schools and supports education in Afghanistan. They completed construction on their first school in Kabul in August, and are currently searching for a location for an all-girls school in the city.
