Illinois Tech’s INTM program recently awarded two Footlik Scholarship for the 2017-18 academic year. The recipients are Krzysztof Drozd and Vasyl Vynnychuk, both transfer students from Oakton Community College. Krysztof earned three AAS degrees in Facilities Energy Systems, Facilities Management, and A/C, Heating & Refrigeration. Vasyl earned an AAS in CNC Operations & Programming and four certificates in Manufacturing. This is the ninth year for these scholarships from The Irving M. Footlik Foundation, thanks to the generosity of Robert B. Footlik, P.E. (IE ’68) who established an endowed fund in memory of his parents, Irving M. Footlik (ME ’39) and his late wife Sylvia. The Footlik family has given significant time, attention, and financial support to multiple campus initiatives and student projects. The Footlik scholarships benefit students who obtain practical training at a community college and transfer to IIT to pursue the Bachelor of Industrial Technology and Management (BINTM).
