INTM Faculty Member Authors Books in University Leadership Publication Series

Congratulations to Dan Tomal, Ph.D., professor of Industrial Technology and Management (INTM)  at Illinois Tech, who co-authored two new books.  Human Resource Management: Optimizing Organizational Performance (The Concordia University Leadership Series) 2nd Edition, by Daniel R. Tomal and Craig A. Schilling, is intended to be a comprehensive guide for students and human resource professionals.  It covers topics that include succession planning, recruiting, hiring, orientation, mentoring, leading, motivating, laws and policies, appraising, compensating, collective bargaining, and terminating.  Social Media Tools for Learning: Activating Collaboration Strategies for Success (The Concordia University Leadership Series) by Kathryn Wozniak and Daniel R. Tomal, showcases Dr. Tomal’s expertise in social media and its applications in teaching.  This book covers collaboration tools, theories, models, and legal issues to help educators use social media as part of their classroom, online, and corporate instruction.
